The whole song prays for sanctification, commitment and being sent, in line with Scripture. "看万事为损失" ("count all things loss") echoes Philippians 3:8, "靠祢的恩典站立" ("stand by your grace") echoes Romans 5:2, and "神圣的火熬炼我" ("let the holy fire refine me") echoes the refining imagery of Malachi 3:3. One line deserves attention: "用圣灵与火为我施洗" ("baptize me with the Holy Spirit and fire"). The lyric takes the "fire" of Matthew 3:11 as a refining fire to pray for. The author admits on the official site that in context the "fire" may mean the fire of judgment that burns the chaff, and suggests the words "与火" ("and fire") could be omitted. This is a debatable point of interpretation in wording, not a substantive error, so it gets 4 stars.
